What we do

To restore the carbon cycle and maintain a healthy climate, we need to do more than reduce our carbon emissions to zero by 2050.  We also need to preserve, regenerate, and develop natural and man-made carbon sinks to help reverse the rise of atmospheric CO2 and bring carbon levels within a sustainable range. That’s where Sinkit comes in!

Together with our partners, we develop and accelerate natural and technological carbon removal solutions. We help companies and individuals achieve net zero with transparent and traceable carbon offsets, and we raise awareness on the need for carbon removal. We soon realized that just reducing emissions is not enough to restore atmospheric carbon levels and limit global warming. DAREL and its employees wanted to do more. So, we started looking into carbon removal solutions to compensate for our annual emissions.

Our story

Sinkit is an initiative by DAREL – a consultancy firm that supports organizations in delivering their energy transition. We soon realized that just reducing emissions is not enough to restore atmospheric carbon levels and limit global warming. DAREL and its employees wanted to do more. So, we started looking into carbon removal solutions to compensate for our annual emissions.

It turned out there weren't many viable options. The market was and still is underdeveloped. Most of the available options are very complex and not transparent. We decided to take matters into our own hands: the idea for Sinkit was born. We wanted to develop our own platform to raise awareness and make it easier for companies to offset their emissions and buy carbon removal credits that are actually traceable and transparent.

After years of research, developing our rating and selection system, and building our portfolio, network, team and cooperation, we've launched a platform that we 100% believe can deliver the quality and results needed to make a real difference and create lasting, positive change.
